A London art gallery is hiring for a Communications Lead. From holding court at art fairs and exhibitions, to oversight of the social media and website messaging. This is a varied and commercial role that demands a highly experienced candidate, with art world connections and infallible insight, who can craft a compelling strategic vision.

The Role…

  • Devise and role out a holistic and insights led communication strategy in line with brand objectives and growth plans
  • Firmly position the organisation within a highly competitive landscape and drive brand awareness and loyalty
  • Nurture strong relationships with key media outlets, critics, influencers and industry stakeholders to position company as thought leaders in the art world, identifying innovative opportunities for coverage
  • Oversee all outbound content across social, pr, web & newsletter to ensure consistency in messaging, with a particular focus on developing digital content to enhance the brands online presence
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with cultural institutions, brands, influencers, and community organisations to expand reach and relevance.

The Candidate…

  • Proven track record in high-level strategic communications, branding, or marketing roles within the art world
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Accomplished leadership skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the art world, including artists, industry trends and contemporary culture with a strong network of influential industry contacts.
